WELFARE ASSISTANT

Required ASAP
Working 6.25 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks per year)
1 hr 15 mins per day, 12.00 – 1.15pm

Salary: Grade 2, £3,341 – £3,393 per annum. £12.26 – £12.45 per hour

Main Duties:

• To provide welfare and pastoral care as directed, on the playground, in the hall or in the classroom, over the school lunch break
• To organise games and activities for children
• To administer First Aid to pupils
• To keep records of pupils needing medication and of the medication given

General support for the School:

• Undertake statutory training
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection – reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

We are looking for a committed, hardworking and reliable person to fill this position. You will work alongside our two welfare assistants and other lunchtime staff.

The post will be temporary until 31st August 2025. The post will be reviewed prior to the summer holidays with a view to extending the contract for a further year.
